What you will do?

We are hiring a Server Architect to design and develop our core services and application platform, as well as to own the entire MangoSpring server infrastructure. The focus will be on creating robust high volume applications and at the same time have the ability to turn around quick prototypes.

You will lead the server development team and be responsible for design and development of all sever-side code for web/mobile based services including the final interface between our complex server wizardry and the end user. This role is a blend of hands on coding and managing/guiding/leading a team of server engineers.

Who you are?

• BE or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6+ years of commercial software development experience with strong, system-wide background in Java/J2EE server development, including top application servers, SOA / Web Services, database development, message-driven architectures, working knowledge of core libraries, design patterns, JSP and servlets and event frameworks.
• Knowledge of AJAX concepts (XmlHTTPRequest, iframes, remote scripting, JSON, etc) and other "rich web" techniques and toolkits.
• Loves programming as much as being a mentor to other engineers in the team.
• Be able to lead and provide overall project direction to the team.
• Must be able to define a light-weight process for everyday tasks.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails preferrable.
• Must have experience developing database driven, internet-based, server applications.
• Significant deployment experience in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of various wireless data/voice technologies (SMS, GPRS, SMPP, WAP Push etc.) desirable.

• 2-5 years of commercial software development experience with strong, system-wide background in Java/J2EE server development.
• BE or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience developing database driven, internet-based, server applications a must.

• A J2ME guru with at least 2-3 years experience being a champion on it.
• Experience building connected mobile applications (as opposed to games) preferably in product based companies.
• Very Good understanding of robust software design and development practices and ability to instill these practices into the development process.
• Be able to lead and mentor the team to successful deliver a high quality deliverable.
